Princess adds teen security
Princess now boasts a group of individuals onboard their ships in yellow shirts. These individuals roam the pool areas, corridors, bars, and other public places and their name: Teen Security.

This effort to control rowdiness and curb underage drinking has been in place for almost eighteen months and is working very well. Part of the success is that Princess uses individuals in the their twenties to fill the positions. Princess took the action as a result of complaints during cruises with a high number of youths sailing onboard.

"The cruise line does offer children and teen program, but it is outside of these organized activities where problems may arise," said Rai Caluori, Senior Vice-President of Fleet Operations. Princess recruits its teen security personnel at universities, colleges and summer camps. Potential Teen Security is then screened then trained over the course of two cruises. Two teen security personnel are deployed for every 50 teen guests sailing.
